Aye, this one’s without a doubt one of our favorite albums of the ‘90s. Produced by Jim O’Rourke (marking his first recording session with a rock band), Long Hair In Three Stages is the landmark debut album from experimental rock quartet U.S. Maple, a group of some of the finest art punks to ever emerge from the Midwest. A real crowning achievement of that golden Chicago no wave scene. Just some of the strangest, most dazzling rock music you’ll ever hear. Following the release of Long Hair In Three Stages in ‘95, U.S. Maple toured Europe and recorded a Peel Session. According to SKiN GRAFT Records, “more history is made.”
The album was lovingly reissued last year for its 30th anniversary, but we have a few remaining copies of the original ‘95 CD edition in stock today. Act fast!
